The revenue cycle begins with EDX, an internally developed data capturing program that allows the translation of any type of electronic media into the data elements needed to produce a patient billing record in the practice management system. Various data elements are checked for validity and completeness. Any errors found are quickly corrected prior to posting to the billing system. This reduces denials and speeds claim payments. EDX is a rule based system that can be programmed for the specific needs of any practice. 

EDX is also used to pass ERA (electronic remittance advice) files from the payers to our practice management system. The system matches payer checks to received ERA and creates the payment batches for posting. The provides the internal controls needed to track the large volumes of payment files we receive each day.
