Medigistics has developed and maintains an innovative software solution for electronic data exchange (EDX).  This software running on a Microsoft Windows based Server enables us to edit all data before posting to the billing system for accuracy and completeness.  The system has been designed so that it can be customized for each client and improves the quality of the information coming from those clients’ different locations.

The EDX system checks each service to make sure the necessary fields are completed before releasing it into the billing system.

EDX can also be programmed for unique billing requirements such as global billing agreements by CPT, Invoice billing and capitation contracts.

Medigistics has built into the EDX system a database of Medicare LMRPs and approved diagnostic codes and uses this information to screen services that are entered into the EDX system.

The key to getting paid for medical services in today’s environment is accurate and complete information on the claim.  Equally important is the requirement for compliance and that the data can be substantiated in the patient’s medical record.  The EDX system keeps track of patient admission signs and symptoms.  With this medical history we can more intelligently assign a diagnosis code that relates to the procedure preformed and know that it can be proven from the clinical indications.
